AMD's Ryzen CPU lineup has been leaked

Details on AMD's upcoming Ryzen CPU lineup have been leaked, revealing 17 SKUs and base clock frequencies that range from 3.0GHz to 3.6GHz.

These leaks come from coolaler.com and showcase a wide range of CPU models and their nearest Intel competitor. Right now it is unknown if these GPUs are supposed to be performance competitors or price competitors or a mixture of both, with 8-core CPUs being listed as competitors for both Intel's 8-core i7 6900K and their 4-core 8-thread i7 7700K.

Right now the specifications of these CPUs are not known, apart from the base clock speed ranges of each core/thread count, with AMD's new CPUs being separated into R7, R5 and R3 series CPUs, with a naming scheme reminiscent of Intel's core/i-series CPUs.

AMD R7 series CPUs are listed as having 8-cores and 16, threads, with R5 CPUs having either four or six-core configurations with SMT enabled. AMD's lower end R3 series CPUs will have 4 cores and 4 threads (SMT disabled).

In this leak, no pricing information for AMD's Ryzen CPUs has been made avaialble, though it is likely that we will be hearing more from AMD over the next few weeks.

Very nice. I hope they'll be similarly priced to the listed Intel counterparts. 4c8t for the price will be a steal of the IPC is there, or even the 6c12t would be extremely tempting.Quote
