AMD's Ryzen CPUs reviews are rumoured to go live on February 28th

Today rumours have started spreading like wildfire regarding AMD's Ryzen launch date, with many now suggesting that reviews for AMD's latest CPU architecture will go live on February 28th.

This date coincides with the start of GDC, which is a great platform for which AMD can launch their new CPU archtecture. It is also rumoured that AMD Ryzen and AM4 motherboards will go on sale starting on March 2nd, though some have suggested that some higher-end SKUs will be available before then.

Below is a list of previously leaked AMD Ryzen SKUs, including most important specifications on each CPU. Right now many PC gamers are excited to see how these new CPUs stack up in gaming applications and many others are excited to see the wider picture and how Ryzen will stack up for professional use cases.

R3 1200X443.4GHz3.8GHz65W
R3 1100443.2GHz3.5GHz65W

One thing that also must be remembered is that all of AMD's Ryzen SKUs are overclockable, giving enthusiasts a great opportunity to achieve great performance/$ out of their Ryzen CPUs, especially when using lower-end CPUs.

If Ryzen's rumoured pricing is true, Intel will likely be forced to reconsider the pricing of their Kaby Lake CPU lineup, as it seems like AMD will greatly upset the status-Quo when it comes to price/performance.

During their Q4 earnings call, AMD has confirmed that their new Ryzen CPUs and AM4 series motherboards will be launching in early March, which means that we should be learning more about AMD's new Ryzen series CPUs soon.

This post made me laugh. Bet Tom could sort this 'rumour' right out if he was so inclined. Quote

That is the problem with these rumours, some people obviously know. We just need to find them and give them a few alcoholic beverages.Quote

I think I saw him with a glass of white wine in a video stream over the weekend?

Otherwise I don't think there are many that would mind a mystery 6 or 12 pack showing up : )Quote

He did say in his quick facebook vid unboxing the Corsair Bulldog that people might be looking in the background for Ryzen stuff and they'd be wasting their time.Quote
