Lower performance, better value – AMD’s Ryzen 7000 Non-X CPU leak
It looks like AMD plans to reveal new Ryzen 7000 series processors in the near future, value-oriented models that are designed to run at lower TDPs while delivering most of the performance of their faster X-series counterparts.Â
One of the biggest advantages of AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 non-X SKUs is the fact that they will all ship with heatsinks, allowing PC builders to create PCs without needing to invest in aftermarket cooling solutions. This lowers AMD’s platform costs for AM5, especially for those who are new to PC building.Â
Like other Ryzen 7000 series processors, AMD’s new non-X SKUs feature support for PCIe 5.0, DDR5 memory, and feature integrated graphics. AMD’s L3 cache sizes on their non-X series CPUs are the same as their X-series counterparts, which means that AMD’s cheaper non-X CPUs will not have any cache related performance disadvantages when compared to its X-series counterparts. For gamers, this makes AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series non-X CPUs a product that is worth considering.

When compared to the prices of AMD’s existing Ryzen 7000 X series CPUs, AMD’s new non-X series models will not be a lot more affordable than their faster counterparts. That said, AMD’s inclusion of heatsinks does add more value to AMD’s non-X series CPUs than what their pricing alone implies.
While we would love to see lower pricing for AMD’s non-X SKUs, deeper price cuts would place AMD’s existing X-series Ryzen 7000 series CPUs into a difficult position. In some regards, AMD’s non-X CPUs are X-series CPUs that are operating in ECO mode and include stock heatsinks. As such, these new CPU models should not be much cheaper than their X-series counterparts.Â

Heatsinks included
With AMD’s planned Ryzen 9 7900 and Ryzen 7 7700, AMD plans to give purchasers a bundled Wraith Prism CPU cooler that features controllable RGB LED lighting. With AMD’s lower-end Ryzen 5 7600, AMD will be bundling their smaller Wraith Stealth CPU cooler. Â
