Aqua Computer's AM5 Sealing is a must-have product for users of liquid metal TIM

AMD's Ryzen 7000 series processors can run hot, and many PC builders are exploring ways to lower the thermals of AMD's latest processors to maximise their CPU's boost frequencies and performance levels. To do this, many PC builders are investing in premium Thermal Interface Materials, ne it in the form of traditional Thermal Pastes or more advanced Liquid Metal materials.

Aqua Computer has designed a new product that is designed to prevent thermal paste or liquid metal from getting into the gaps around your Ryzen 7000 series AM5 processors. This product is a "practical sealing frame" that is made to fit perfectly around the outer contours of AMD's latest processors. With this sealing frame, Ryzen 7000 series CPU users can more easily clean their processor when they are replacing their thermal interface material, and prevents liquid metal TIMs from moving to unwanted areas.

German watercooling specialist Aqua Computer offers a practical sealing frame for Socket AM5 CPUs. The flexible frame made of silicone fits perfectly to the bulky outer contour of the heatspreader and effectively prevents thermal paste or liquid metal from getting into these gaps. The sealing frame can withstand very high as well as low temperatures and can also be cleaned easily if necessary, which means it can be used again and again.

The installation is very simple: The sealing frame is inserted into the processor's lock. Once the locking mechanism is closed, the corners of the sealing frame are carefully pressed into the recesses of the heatspreader with a finger and then the mechanism is being locked.

Aqua Computer offers the sealing frame for 6.90 EUR via its webshop and it will be also available through its resellers soon.

Aqua Computer's AM5 Sealing Frame is an excellent product for Ryzen 7000 users

While Aqua Computer's AM5 Practical Sealing Frame is a niche product, it is a must-have purchase for users of liquid metal thermal interface materials with Ryzen 7000 series processors, and an excellent add-on for those who expect to change their CPU's heatsink or their processor frequently.

No chance. Unless he put a patent on it (which I am not even sure he could, given the shape is an AMD copyright) then he doesn't stand a snowflake's chance in heck.

Getting a patent would have taken him so long we would have been two gens in before he got it any way.

Besides, his stuff is very expensive and sells mostly to his fans. So I can't see it hurting him too much.Quote
