ASRock kills the All-P-Core Intel “Bartlett Lake” dream
The dream is over, don’t expect Intel “Bartlett Lake” CPU support on consumer-grade motherboards
Intel’s Bartlett Lake CPUs have long been sought after by PC enthusiasts, especially by those who dislike Intel’s recent “hybrid” CPU designs. With 10/12 core all-P-core designs, Intel’s Bartlett Lake CPUs promised higher P-core counts than any of Intel’s LGA-1700 Raptor Lake CPUs. That could have been good news for gamers, but not anymore. ASRock has confirmed that it has no plans to support Intel’s Bartlett Lake CPUs on its consumer-grade LGA-1700 motherboards.
While Intel’s all-P-core design has its benefits, the company never intended these CPUs to be used outside their intended market. As it stands, we do not expect any motherboard vendor to support these CPUs on consumer motherboards. Honestly, it would be hard for consumers to even get a hold of these niche CPUs.

Intel’s Bartlett Lake CPUs are effectively Raptor Lake CPUs with their E-cores replaced by more P-cores. This creates a CPU lineup that is attractive to gamers, making an interesting counterpoint to Intel’s newer Arrow Lake lineup. While this product could have been interesting for gamers, it is clear that Intel doesn’t want to go down this route. This year, we expect to see a refreshed lineup of Arrow Lake CPUs. However, later this year, we also expect to see new “Nova Lake” series CPU models on a new CPU socket.
