EVGA updates their X299 DARK to support In-BIOS stress testing and overclocking

EVGA’s latest BIOS for their X299 DARK motherboard now contain’s support for an integrated stress test and an automatic overclocking utility called “EVGA OC Robot”.

The stress test itself acts a lot like Prime 95 and does not require an OS install to function, saving a lot of time while overclocking while giving the user readouts for both CPU voltage and temperatures. CPU multipliers can also be changed on the fly on EVGA’s latest BIOS, reducing the need for manual rebooting and other time consuming overclocking annoyances.

These features are available on BIOS version 1.08 or newer and will be available on all future enthusiast EVGA motherboards with overclocking capabilities. A “gamer mode” overclock is also available as a “one-click” overclocking option, though we recommend that PC builders overclock their systems manually for the best, most stable results.

Key Features of the New EVGA GUI BIOS:

– Built in CPU Stress Test – Test your CPU overclock with the click of a button from directly in the BIOS! No reboot needed.
– EVGA OC Robot – Automatically test and find a stable overclock for your system.
– Gamer Mode – Set a conservative overclock in seconds.

EVGA’s new 1.08 BIOS for their X299 DARK motherboard is available to download on EVGA’s official forums.
