Expect to see “Next-Generation AMD” motherboards at Computex – Biostar confirms
Biostar plans to showcase next-generation AMD motherboards at Computex 2026
Biostar has claimed that it plans to showcase “next-generation AMD” motherboards at Computex 2026. This should include a new Valkyrie gaming model and other, more mainstream, motherboard designs.
Given their “next-generation” teaser, these new motherboards are unlikely to be refreshed versions of AMD 800-series motherboards. These could be new 900-series AMD motherboards, perhaps the X970 or X970E. While it is unknown when AMD plans to release its next-generation Zen 6 CPUs, these processors are likely to launch alongside new motherboards. Sadly, it is currently unknown when AMD plans to release its next-generation CPUs, though a late 2026 or early 2027 launch seems likely.
On the consumer and gaming side, BIOSTAR will present its next-generation AMD and Intel 800 series motherboards, the flagship VALKYRIE gaming series, and mainstream AI PC platforms, complemented by graphics cards based on the AMD Radeon RX series. The showcase also reflects strong demand in one of the year’s most active memory segments, with a full lineup spanning both DDR5 and DDR4, along with PCIe M.2 and SATA SSDs—a dual-track approach that mirrors continued demand across both current-generation and established platforms.

Alongside new AMD motherboards, Biostar plans to showcase its Intel 800-series motherboard lineup and its range of AMD Radeon RX graphics cards. The company also confirmed that it will show both DDR5 and DDR4 products. Both SATA and M.2 PCIe SSDs are also mentioned. At Computex, Biostar will be showcasing both its established and future products.
If Biostar showcases next-generation AMD motherboards, we can expect similar products from other brands. That said, it remains to be seen when AMD plans to launch next-generation Ryzen CPUs. Zen 6-based Ryzen CPUs are undoubtedly in the works. That said, high memory prices will undoubtedly dampen the demand for any new processors.
