Gigabyte launches their B650E AORUS Stealth Ice Back-Connect motherboard
Gigabyte launches their first “Back-Connect” motherboard under new “Stealth” branding
Gigabyte have now officially launched their new B650E AORUS Stealth Ice motherboard, the company’s first “Back-Connect” motherboard design. Like all motherboards with Backside Connectivity (BSC), Gigabyte’s new Stealth models have all of their power and I/O connectors on the motherboard’s rear. This allows users to create a seemingly cable-free PC, where motherboard cables are hidden behind a users motherboard tray.
AMD are due to release their Ryzen 9000 series CPUs later this month. This makes now a strange time for Gigabyte to release a new B650 motherboard. After all, AMD did reveal their new 800-series motherboard chipsets at Computex. Perhaps AMD will be releasing their 800-series motherboards later than expected?
The B650E AORUS Stealth Ice supports AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series CPUs out of the box. The motherboard also features a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, and a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot. The motherboard also features 2.5 Gb LAN, WIFI 7 support, and sports a 12+2+2 phase VRM solution.
Gigabyte claims that their Stealth Ice motherboard is the world’s first white motherboards with backside-connect support. Note that this motherboard is only compatible with PC cases with backside connectivity support. This is the only real downside of BSC motherboards.
We expect to see Gigabyte’s new Stealth Ice motherboard to be available at retailers soon. Sadly, we do not know Gigabyte’s planned pricing for this new motherboard.
