Gigabyte Introduces Z97X-Game Plus Mobo, black and green returns!

Remember when Gigabyte changed the G1 Gaming colour scheme to red and black? Boy, did that cause a commotion. Gigabyte's unique black and green colour scheme had made way for a more generic scheme, and I think we can all say that the new G1 Gaming boards weren't very attractive like their predecessors were. Luckily, Gigabyte is trying to set things right, as they've just announced a brand new gaming motherboard. It's green this time.

The Gigabyte Z97X-Game Plus motherboard is designed to compete in the mid-range market, against the ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer and the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 alongside their own Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7. The board features three PCI-e 3.0 x16 slots (x8/x8 with two cards, x8/x4/x4 with three cards), a SATA M.2 slot, six SATA 6B/s ports (of which two are wired as SATA-Express 10GB/s ports). Gigabyte's AMP-UP onboard audio chip and a Broadcom Killer E2200 gigabit ethernet port aren't missing either. Furthermore the board features six USB 3.0 ports, and should come in at £90 to £100.

If they just removed the n00b badge that says "GAME +", I might even consider buying it...Quote
