Intel confirms Arrow Lake Refresh and Nova Lake CPU launch plans
Intel Nova Lake will launch in 2026, and Arrow Lake Refresh is coming soon
When speaking at the Goldman Sachs Technology Conference, Intel’s John Pitzer confirmed the company’s plan for the desktop CPU market. Based on his statements, Intel are confident in their roadmap. A refresh of the company’s Arrow Lake CPU lineup is planned, and Intel plans to launch next-generation Nova Lake processors in 2026 or 2027.
Intel plans to start releasing Nova Lake CPUs towards the end of next year, with further CPU launches in 2027. With these CPUs, Intel’s John Pitzer believes that the company will have a “leadership position across the board on desktop.
And then you look at the x86 business, I think we’ve got a strong product portfolio in PCs. We’ve got a couple of holes we’ve got to fill on the desktop front. But quite frankly, we feel confident in the road map. We’ll have a refresh of Arrow Lake next year, which will help start the process on the desktop side, and then we’ll conclude that with Nova Lake when we launch late next year into 2027.
With its refreshed lineup of Arrow Lake CPUs, Intel plans to “help stem” the challenges the company faces in the high-end desktop market. We don’t expect major performance gains. However, with this new CPU lineup, Intel can deliver optimised clock speeds, optimised interconnect speeds, and other improvements. These changes can deliver significant performance gains in certain workloads and are already evident with Intel’s IPO technology.
Furthermore, Intel has its APO (Application Optimisation) technology. This software can significantly increase gaming performance in supported titles.
