Intel confirms that an Arrow Lake Refresh is coming
When speaking to Citi, Intel CFO, David Zinster, confirmed that “another wave” of Arrow Lake CPUs is coming. These CPUs are expected to deliver more performance than their existing counterparts. However, Intel’s CFO stated that we may have to wait for Nova Lake before their CPUs become fully competitive with AMD.
Intel’s expected to launch a refreshed lineup of Arrow Lake CPUs later this year. These CPUs will support the same LGA1851 motherboards as today’s Arrow Lake CPUs. They are also likely to feature enhanced clock speeds and other upgrades. We expect to hear more about these new CPUs soon.
We still have some work to do on the client side on the portfolio. We have Arrow Lake in the desktop space. There’s another wave of Arrow Lake that we’ll see. But it’s not till Nova Lake that really, I think we have completely addressed that situation. And so we would expect to get to a pretty good place as we get into Nova Lake, and Nova Lake will have 18A as well.
While Intel expects its new wave of Arrow Lake CPUs to be more competitive, they aren’t expected to change the desktop CPU landscape completely. That said, Intel is exploring other avenues that could boost the performance of its CPUs in gaming workloads. This includes updates to Intel’s APO software, which utilises software optimisations to enhance the performance of the company’s latest CPUs in games.
