Intel Broadwell-E Priced at NCIX - Over $2000?

Pre-orders for Intel's Broadwell-E CPUs have gone live at NCIX in the USA, pricing Intel's Flagship 10-core CPU at over $2300.

The pricing for Intel's Broadwell-E CPUs is much higher than Intel's previous generation of X99 CPUs, leaving many to expect that like Z170's Skylake CPUs before it that Broadwell-E will come at a higher price than their previous generation equivalents.

This is not the first time that early pre-orders for upcoming products have had inflated pricing, so we expect to see the prices of these CPUs decrease before release. Below we have a table showing the previously leaked specifications and both the current pricing at NCIX and what we expect launch pricing to be.

These CPUs are now rumored to be launching at Computex 2016, which is in line with previous rumors that stated that they would release in the first half of next year.

The main changes of this CPU from previous generation Extreme series CPUs are that its flagship will have two extra CPU cores, a stronger memory controller and the higher power efficiency that Intel's Broadwell architecture and their 14nm manufacturing process provides. These CPUs will be available in 6-core, 8-core, and 10-core models and will come at a range of clock speeds.

Intel Broadwell-E Priced at NCIX - Over $2000?

At this time the pricing for Intel's upcoming Broadwell-E remains a closely guarded secret at Intel, meaning that all the information here is merely speculation that has been influenced by recent leaks and trends.
