Intel Client Roadmap Leaked, 10nm Cannonlake due Q2 2016

 

Intel's Client Roadmap has been Leaked with 10nm Cannonlake due as early as Q2 2016 and Big Skylake coming in Q3 2016. The leak also confirms that Skylake will be coming at the start of Q3.

 Like Intel's current 14nm Broadwell platform Intel's 10nm Cannonlake will be arriving on low power platforms first, for TDPs of

 

Intel Client Roadmap Leaked, 10nm Cannonlake due Q2 2016  

Intel will be skipping Broadwell-E for their big E-series platforms, moving directly from Haswell-E to Skylake-E, which is expected to happen in Q3 of 2016. Right now we expect that there will be a new series of motherboard for this release, but right now we cannot be certain. 

Skylake-E is expected to deliver a lot of extra performance over Haswell-E, being an Intel tick and tock ahead of Haswell. It is expected that any power saving will be used to deliver more performance here, rather than save power or lower it's thermals, especially given the fact that AMD will be releasing their new 8-core Zen CPUs in the same year.
