Intel's plans to start Rocket Lake's Mass Production in January

According to a leaked roadmap from @OneRaichu, Intel's preparing to start mass-producing their Rocket Lake series processors. These processors will make up the high-end segment of Intel's 11th Generation desktop lineup, which will support PCIe 4.0 connectivity and feature higher levels of single-threaded performance than their predecessors.

Intel has reportedly moved forward their shipping dates for Rocket Lake, hoping to hit the market as soon as possible to counter AMD's Ryzen 5000 series. Even now, AMD's Ryzen 5000 series CPUs are in short supply in many regions, and Intel plans to take advantage of AMD's production shortfalls.

With Rocket Lake, Intel plans to offer their users higher levels of single-threaded performance than their older Comet Lake series designs. With this move, Intel plans to retake the gaming crown from AMD, regaining Intel one of their key advantages within the consumer PC market. That said, Intel's continued use of 14nm silicon will result in Intel's processors using more power than their AMD-powered rivals in many workloads.

Intel's 11th Generation Core processors will ship alongside new 500-series LGA 1200 motherboards, which will offer consumers new features like PCIe 4.0 support and more advanced connectivity options.
