Where are Intel's remaining 300-series chipsets!

Intel's remaining Coffee Lake lineup leaks

Intel's remaining Coffee Lake lineup leaks

Intel's Coffee Lake lineup has a problem, one that AMD is currently exploiting. Today, Intel's 300-series of motherboards only have a single chipset, Z370, catering to the high-end consumer market and not any lower sections of the custom PC market.

While these users could buy 200-series motherboards, they only offer support for Kaby Lake CPUs, lacking the ability to support Intel's 6-core consumer CPUs and any of their 8th Generation products. In contrast, AMD's competing 300-series AM4 motherboards support their current lineup as well as their future Ryzen-G series APUs with Vega graphics and their upcoming Ryzen 2nd Generation products, giving them a clear advantage.

We know that Intel has more chipsets coming, from H310 to B360 and even H370, with their remaining Coffee Lake CPU lineup being leaked by Videocardz, who sourced a list of upcoming models from an Australian retailer. These models include Dual-core, Dual-thread Celerons, Dual-core, Quad Thread Pentiums as well as additional Quad-core i3 and Hex-core i5 models.

Intel's upcoming Coffee Lake series motherboards and CPUs are expected to launch next month, around the same time as AMD's new Ryzen G-series CPUs with Radeon Vega Graphics/ Things are starting to heat up in the low-end CPU market!

Pricing is dodgy, $117 for the i3 8100 and they are gonna charge nearly double for the 8300, makes no logic.Quote
