Killer overclocking feature revealed for AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs

AMD is changing the world of Ryzen overclocking with their new “Curve Shaper” feature

The overclocker 1usmus, has revealed that AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series will be receiving a new overclocking feature in the form of AMD’s “Curve Shaper”. This new feature expands upon AMD’s existing “Curve Optimiser” feature, allowing AMD Ryzen users to further fine-tune their CPUs to maximise system performance.

AMD’s new “Curve Shaper” feature set will be available to Ryzen 9000 series users through their motherboard’s BIOS and through AMD’s Ryzen Master software.

Until now, AMD’s Curve Optimiser technology applied to the entire temperature and load range of Ryzen CPUs. With Curve Shaper, AMD users will be able to create custom Curve Optimiser options across the temperature range. This should allow AMD users to squeeze a little more performance out of their CPUs while maintaining stability. It should also allow users to set their systems up to minimise power draw at idle and maximise CPU performance under load.

Based on this new information, AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series will be an exciting release for overclockers. If you enjoy squeezing every ounce of performance out of your system, AMD’s new Curve Shaper tech will be something to look into.
