Leak suggests aggressive pricing for AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs

AMD appears to be pricing their Ryzen 9000 series CPUs aggressively

Pricing for AMD’s next-generation CPUs may have just been revealed. If true, AMD will be offering aggressive prices for their Ryzen 9000 series CPUs. Not only are AMD offering lower prices than their Ryzen 7000 series launch, these prices aren’t much higher than today’s Ryzen 9000 series CPU prices.

This pricing leak comes via “Hail The Brain Slug” on the Anandtech Forums. This pricing allegedly comes from an employee of BestBuy, that claims that the retailer already has a lot of CPU stock from AMD. Currently, the retailer has tentative pricing for these new CPUs, which can be seen below. Note that these are “tentative”, which means that these prices may change ahead of launch.

  • AMD Ryzen 9 9950X – $499
  • AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – $399
  • AMD Ryzen 7 9700X – $299
  • AMD Ryzen 5 9600X – $229

AMD has not officially revealed the pricing of their new Ryzen series CPUs. With their CPUs launching on July 31st, AMD has less than two weeks to release official pricing information. Hopefully, this means that AMD will be revealing official pricing information soon.
