Meet the MSI Z170 XPOWER Gaming Titanium Edition, MSI's flagship motherboard which is designed from the ground up for heavy overclocking.

Now before you guys ask, no this motherboard is not white, it is silver, giving this motherboard a very unique, yet visually appealing look. MSI said that they wanted the board to be titanium in and out, with the heavy plated silver heatsinks and a "subtle" PCB prinitng.

MSI makes this boar with Military class 5 components, which is their new standard for ultra high grade components. One of the most noteworthy of which is their new Titanium Chokes, which can withstand even higher temperatures than their previous SFC chokes, 250 degrees compared to 155 degrees, which MSI tell us will give this new motherboard a longer lifespan while emitting less noise.

One new feature of this board will specifically help high end overclockers who use LN2, liquid nitrogen, the OC Dashboard, which is now off the main PCB of the motherboard and can be extended away from it with a cable. This change prevents the dashboards PCB from Freezing, allowing the board to be used even when the CPU and memory is cooled by LN2.

With such a large number of dedicated overclocking motherboards coming from MSI and other manufacturers, it further heightens our expectations that Skylake will be a decent overclocker, or at least better than the last few generations from Intel.

We are looking forward to having a look at this motherboard, as Skylake's launch is coming ever closer and manufacturers and rumors has it it will be a great overclocker. We will be getting our hands on this board as soon as samples become available to reviewers, so expect to see more of this motherboard from us in the future.
