US retailer reveals AMD Ryzen Threadripper 9000 release dates and pricing
AMD’s next-generation Threadripper PRO CPUs are launching on July 23rd
AMD’s getting ready to launch its Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series CPUs, and according to B&H Photo, a major US retailer, they will become available this month.
According to the website’s retail listing, via @momomo_us, AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 series CPUs will be available for pre-order on July 23rd. However, AMD’s non-Pro Threadripper 9000 series CPUs have a pre-order date of July 31st.
With its new 9000 series Threadripper series CPU, AMD are offering customers its Zen 5 CPU cores. AMD has claimed that its new Threadripper CPUs can deliver up to 22% more performance than their last-generation counterparts. This is thanks to AMD’s new core designs, enhanced AVX-512 support, and higher boost clocks. Furthermore, AMD’s new Ryzen 9000 Threadripper CPUs also support DDR5-6400 speeds, which are 23% higher than the memory speeds of AMD’s Threadripper 7000 series CPUs.

Videocardz has managed to uncover the pricing of AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series CPUs using B&H Photo’s price range tool. This has allowed them to get estimates for the prices of AMD’s new Threadripper CPUs. These prices may not be entirely accurate. Even so, they appear to be reasonable prices given AMD’s expected performance improvements.
