AMD's getting ready to reveal their latest generation of datacenter products, products that should include new Zen 4 EPYC processors, and possibly new offerings from AMD Xilinx and other segments of the company.
The highlight of AMD's reveals today will be their Zen 4 EPYC Genoa processors, new datacenter CPUs that will enjoy the benefits of AMD's latest Zen 4 cores as well as DDR5 memory support, PCIe 5.0 connectivity, and CXL compatibility. Additionally, AMD may reveal more information about their planned Zen 4c Bergamo processors, and their V-Cache enhanced Zen 4 Genoa X processors.
AMD is expected to become the leader of the x86 server CPU market with the release of their Zen 4 EPYC processors, with Intel's Sapphire Rapids processors offering fewer cores and a later launch date. Simply put, Sapphire Rapids has been delayed for too long, and AMD has an opportunity to capitalise on that weakness.
