AMD’s Frank Azor confirmed on Twitter/X that AMD will officially confirm RX 9070 series GPU pricing on Friday. “All your pricing and performance questions will be answered,” Azor confirmed.
Based on recently leaked AMD slides, AMD are “focusing on what gamers want” with RDNA 4 and aims to make their GPUs “more accessible.” In the same slide, AMD stated that 85% of gamers purchased GPUs that cost less than $700. As such, AMD’s RX 9070 XT is expected to cost less than $700.

At CES 2025, AMD previewed its RDNA 4 graphics architecture and promised improvements to all aspects of GPU performance. For starters, AMD has promised “Supercharged AI compute” thanks to its new second-generation AI accelerators. Next, we have “improved ray tracing compute per CU” with its third-generation RT accelerators. Furthermore, we have “optimised compute units” that should deliver an increase in raw computational power.
On February 28th, we will finally see what AMD’s RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards are capable of. We should also be seeing how these new Radeon GPUs are priced. The event will be streamed on YouTube at 8 AM EST/ 1 PM GMT on AMD’s Gaming channel.
