AMD Radeon RX 9050 GPU Leaks
AMD’s Radeon RX 9050 8GB GPU leaks
It looks like AMD is planning to launch a new, lower-end, RDNA 4-based graphics card. This new GPU uses the same silicon as AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT, but runs at much lower clock speeds and has a lower power limit. This makes this GPU ideal for low-power gaming PCs.
With 2048 Stream Processors and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, this GPU is almost identical to AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB. The primary differences are its lower GPU and memory clock speeds, at least according to Videocardz. However, Videocardz notes that these specifications are “preliminary”.
It is possible AMD is using lower-binned Navi 44 silicon that couldn’t reach the clock speeds required for the Radeon RX 9060 XT. This means that this graphics card could allow AMD to use previously unused GPU silicon. It also allows AMD to use lower-speed GDDR6 chips that it can’t use on its RX 9060 XT.

RX 9050 Specifications and Power Draw
AMD’s new RX 9050 GPU reportedly recommends a 450W PSU. That’s 50W less than what’s recommended for AMD’s RX 9060 XT. This suggests that this new GPU has a much lower target power draw.

The pricing of this new AMD GPU model is currently unknown. It is also unknown how widely this new GPU will be released. Will it be available within the DIY PC market, or will it be exclusive to system integrators and OEMs?
