AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Specifications Leak – Faster clock speeds than expected
AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Specifications Leak – More PCIe lanes and higher clock speeds than expected
New AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT specifications have leaked via @momomo_us, revealing higher clock speeds than expected for AMD’s new RDNA 4 graphics card.
AMD is expected to unveil its new mid-range RDNA 4 graphics card at Computex 2025. Based on today’s leaks, AMD’s new GPU will feature higher clock speeds than any of today’s RX 9070 series GPUs. Furthermore, it reportedly features sixteen PCIe 5.0 lanes. That’s two times as many lanes as is common for GPUs in this segment of the market.
AMD’s RX 9060 XT has higher clocks and stronger CUs than AMD’s RX 7600 XT
With new RDNA 4 compute units and higher clock speeds, AMD’s RX 9060 XT will significantly outperform the company’s last-generation Radeon RX 7600 XT. That said, it remains to be seen how AMD’s new RDNA 4 GPU will be priced compared to its RDNA 4 counterparts. It also remains to be seen how this new GPU compares with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti.

Using an x16 PCIe 5.0 interface may help AMD avoid the same VRAM-related issues as Nvidia’s RTX 5060/5060 Ti 8GB GPUs. These GPUs are known to benefit from additional PCIe bandwidth in situations where 8GB of VRAM is insufficient. Having access to twice as many PCIe lanes would make PCIe bandwidth less of a bottleneck. However, this limitation would be avoided by giving this GPU sufficient VRAM.

Only three display connections
Based on today’s leak, AMD’s RX 9060 series GPUs will only support three display outputs. Two DisplayPort connections and one HDMI output. This leak is verified by Acer’s leaked Radeon RX 9060 XT design, which only features three display outputs.
