AMD says “full details” for RDNA 4 and the RX 9070 series are “coming soon”

AMD’s Frank Azor promises a “full” disclosure for RDNA 4 “soon”

In response to a gamer on Twitter/X, AMD’s Frank Azor has confirmed that “full details” for the company’s RDNA 4/Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs will be revealed “soon.” This news comes one day after AMD’s CEO, Lisa Su, confirmed an “early March” launch for AMD’s RX 9070 series GPUs.

During the company’s Q4 2024 earnings call, AMD’s CEO stated that the company’s RX 9070 series GPUs would “bring high-quality 4K gaming to mainstream players.” This comes thanks to AMD’s architectural enhancements with RDNA 4 and new AI-powered technologies like FSR 4.

Sadly, real information about AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs remains scarce. While specifications for these GPUs have already leaked, it remains to be seen whether or not these leaks are accurate.

With advancements in AI, ray tracing, and traditional per-CU GPU performance, AMD’s RX 9070 series/RDNA 4 GPUs may deliver one of the strongest generation leaps in the company’s history. Regardless, AMD still has a tough battle ahead of it. Nvidia has dominant market share within the gaming market. AMD needs powerful GPUs at aggressive prices if they want to reverse this trend.

Nvidia are due to launch their RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti later this month. Currently, it is unknown if AMD plans to reveal more information about RDNA 4 before or after this launch.
