AMD’s RDNA 4/Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs deserve their own event – AMD insiders claim

Why wasn’t RDNA 4 properly showcased at CES? AMD thinks it deserves its own time in the spotlight

One of the biggest disappointments of CES 2025 was AMD’s lack of full RDNA 4/Radeon RX 9000 series reveal. Yes, AMD had a lot to reveal during their CES 2025 keynote, but that doesn’t mean that gamers weren’t miffed by the lack of Radeon content at the event.

Thankfully, it is now clear that AMD plans to host a dedicated RDNA 4 event soon. At that event, AMD will give gamers a deep dive into its Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs and RDNA 4 graphical architecture. This should sate the appetites of the PC gamers who want to know what’s coming next from team Radeon.

In a recent AMD “Meet the Experts” event, as spotted by Videocardz, gamers were told to “stay tuned”, implying that a dedicated AMD/RDNA 4 event will be hosted soon.

All I can say about Radeon (9000) is that what we have said is what we can say. We think it deserves its own time in the spotlight, and at CES, things can get kind of washed under a massive amount of information. So stay tuned; it won’t be long before you’d be hearing more about it in the future.

AMD’s CES 2025 keynote was an official CES keynote, which limited the length of the event. This meant that AMD had little time to reveal RDNA 4 during their keynote. Since AMD didn’t have the time to properly reveal RDNA 4, they opted to properly reveal their new architecture at a later event. Additionally, this option also gives AMD a tactical advantage. If AMD chose to reveal RDNA 4 at a later event, they could react to Nvidia’s RTX 50 series reveal. That makes Radeon’s delayed RDNA 4 reveal a win-win for AMD.
