AOC Gaming makes high refresh rates affordable -180Hz for under £130

This trio of 180Hz Fast-IPS monitors have made high refresh rate gaming mainstream

AOC Gaming has released a trio of new fast-IPS monitors for the budget gaming market, delivering 180Hz maximum refresh rates for under £130. These screens also boast fast 1 ms GTG and 0.5 ms MPRT response times, enabling high levels of motion clarity. Add on Adaptive-Sync (VRR) support and 90% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage; these screens should be ideal for most workloads.

This trio of monitors will be available this month with screen sizes of 23.8 inches, 24.5 inches, and 27 inches. All three feature 100 x 100 VESA mounts, DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity, and a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p). The names of these new monitors are representative of their screen sizes. The AOC GAMING 24G42E is 23.8 inches, 25G42E in 24.5 inches, and the 27G42E is 27 inches.

Thanks to the release of these new Fast-IPS gaming monitors, high refresh rate gaming is no longer exclusive to high-end screens. At 180Hz, these screens are 3x faster than traditional 60Hz monitors. That’s ideal for modern gaming workloads.

Pricing and availability

The AOC GAMING 24G42E, 25G42E, and 27G42E will be available later this month at MSRPs of £114.99, £119.99, and £129.99, respectively.
