AOC reveals their ultra-fast AGON Pro AG256FS 390Hz IPS gaming monitor

AOC delivers ultra-fast refresh rates with their new AGON Pro AG256FS IPS gaming monitor

The AGON PRO AG256FS is the newest addition to the gaming monitor lineup of AOC. With its 390Hz refresh rate and IPS panel, it promises to deliver users high levels of image quality while being great for competitive gaming scenarios.

With an asking price of €449 Euro, this screen is a strong addition to the competitive gaming monitor market. This is especially true for gamers who dislike the TN-film panels that are used with most high refresh rate gaming monitors.

The AOC AGOPN PRO AG256FS is a 24.5-inch 1080p gaming monitor. It promises users 1mn G2G response times, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 400 nits of screen brightness. Connectivity-wide this screen features a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection and two HDMI 2.0 inputs. This monitor also features four USB data ports and a headphone jack.

As an IPS monitor, users of this screen shouldn’t expect high levels of HDR performance. This monitor features an 8-bit colour depth and uses the standard sRGB colour gamut. If you want higher levels of image quality, you will need to save up for a high refresh rate OLED screen. This is a high refresh rate IPS gaming monitor with a fairly reasonable price, acting as a neat alternative to similar TN-Film style monitors.

The AOC AGON PRO AG256FS should be available this summer.
