Arkham Knight will return to Steam by the End of October

When Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight was released on PC it was instantly flagged as one of the worst PC ports in history, with constant framerate issues, crashes and general instability almost regardless of what hardware was used to play the game.

Not long after release the game was pulled from the Steam store in order for the development team to “fix” the title, which is no doubt due to Steam’s new refund policy saw most copies of the game purchased on the storefront getting returned and refunded.

Now Warner Brothers Interactive has stated that the game will be returning to the store front by the “end of October”, meaning that a new patch should be coming to the game soon.

In a recent statement on the game’s Steam, it is stated that the development team is still working on improving the games performance and implementing several fixes and tweaks to the title. Here is the full statement from Warner Bros. community manager Yorick;

“As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post,”

“We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place.”

Right now recent patches to the game have fixed a large number of the games many issues, so let’s hope that this upcoming October patch will make this game playable for the majority of PC gamers.
