ASRock to launch new Radeon “CREATOR” series GPUs with 12V-2×6 power and blower fans
It looks like ASRock’s RX 7900 WS series GPUs are getting a “CREATOR” series rebrand
Back at Computex 2024, ASRock showcased two new Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs as part of their new WS (Workstation) series. Now, it looks like these new ASRock GPUs will be getting a “CREATOR” series rebrand. A minor branding chance for what appears to be an AI/workflow-focused graphics card.
ASRock’s new Creator series GPUs will be available in Radeon RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX forms. These GPUs will have 20GB and 24GB of VRAM respectively. With rear-facing 12V-2×6 power connectors and blower-style fans, these GPUs are intended to work well in multi-GPU setups, with heat flowing out the back of the user’s PC case.
With lots of VRAM and strong multi-GPU cooling, these GPUs appear to be ideal for workstation use. AI workstations are becoming increase popular, we can see these custom RDNA 3 GPUs working well in multi-GPU AI setups. In theory, up to four of these GPUs could be installed inside a single system.

These GPUs are much more affordable than Nvidia top-tier GPUs. The value of this GPU comes from its memory, as only RTX 40 series GPU with more than 20GB of memory is Nvidia’s RTX 4090. This makes AMDâs Radeon hardware very cost-effective for users. This makes the ASRock Creator series ideal for cost-effective AI workstations.
These new graphics cards are workstation-grade products. Yes, they will work as gaming graphics cards. Even so, gamers will have a better experience with gaming-focused products with larger heatsinks and a more standard heatsink design. Additionally, they can avoid any of the potential problems that come with the 12V-2Ã6 power standard.
