ASUS issues public statement to clarify RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB reports

ASUS confirms that its RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and RTX 5070 Ti are not discontinued

Following reports that Nvidia has “essentially killed off the RTX 5070 Ti“, ASUS has issued a clarifying statement to confirm that neither its RTX 5060 Ti 16GB nor RTX 5070 Ti GPU models are discontinued. ASUS has no plans to stop selling either of these GPU models.

ASUS has confirmed “fluctuations in supply” related to memory constraints. This has impacted GPU production output, which will limit product availability. ASUS says that changes to production should not be seen as a “production halt” or “product retirement”.

Note that this statement does not deny that the supply of RTX 5060 Ti 16GB and RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards is diminishing. This statement only confirms that they have not been discontinued or designated as an “end-of-life” product. There is no timeline for when their supply of GPUs will stabilise.

Public Statement to Clarify Recent Reports Regarding the ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB

We would like to clarify recent reports regarding the ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB. Certain media may have received incomplete information from an ASUS PR representative regarding these products.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB have not been discontinued or designated as end-of-life (EOL). ASUS has no plans to stop selling these models.

Current fluctuations in supply for both products are primarily due to memory supply constraints, which have temporarily affected production output and restocking cycles. As a result, availability may appear limited in certain markets, but this should not be interpreted as a production halt or product retirement.

ASUS will continue to support the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and is working closely with partners to stabilize supply as conditions improve.

ASUS PR

ASUS’ new statement contradicts prior statements made to Hardware Unboxed, who has said the following in response to ASUS’ new statement.

At this point, the proof will be in the supply, as we can’t tell you which of Asus’ statements is truly accurate. We believe the RTX 5070 Ti is heavily supply constrained to the point of being effectively killed, but we’ll see whether that’s truly the case across the next few months.

Hardware Unboxed – YouTube Comment

Hardware Unboxed believes that the supply of RTX 5070 Ti GPUs has been “effectively killed”. That’s how supply-constrained the GPU reportedly is. If this is true, ASUS’ official designation is a distinction without a difference. If Hardware Unboxed is correct, Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti will be in incredibly short supply. The same will be true for the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.
