ASUS launch “DOOM Edition” RTX 5080 to celebrate DOOM: The Dark Ages
ASUS launches its ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition GPU
ASUS has partnered with Bethesda and id Software to create a custom RTX 5080 graphics card that celebrates the launch of DOOM: The Dark Ages. This graphics card is the new ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 DOOM Edition, and it looks fantastic.
This limited-edition graphics card is based on DOOM’s iconic DOOM Slayer, featuring a green and gold colour scheme and tonnes of DOOM themes artwork and decals. This GPU will be available from the Bethesda Gear Store and will be bundled with an exclusive T-Shirt, mouse mat, yellow key card, and an ROG-exclusive DOOM Slayer in-game skin. This GPU also ships with the Premium Edition of DOOM Eternal. This game will be giving to gamers in the form of a redeemable Steam code.
We are thrilled to continue our 30th anniversary celebrations by collaborating with the developers of DOOM, who have also played a pioneering role in the PC gaming industry for over three decades. We partnered closely with id Software and Bethesda to develop a graphics card that we hope fans of the DOOM franchise will cherish and take pride in showcasing within their systems and collections.
This new graphics card is based on ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080, which we reviewed earlier this year. The graphics card is 3.8 PCIe slots wide, making it one of the largest GPUs on the market.
DOOM: The Dark Ages was built using idTech 8, which supports native ray tracing to deliver next-generation visuals within the game. Furthermore, the game also supports features like DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation support. The game also features a path-traced mode, pushing visuals to the next level.
ASUS’ ROG Astral RTX 5080 DOOM Edition
Like all RTX 5080 graphics cards, this limited-edition model will feature 16GB of GDDR7 memory. This GPU model features four of ASUS’ Axial-tech fans and uses a vapour chamber heatsink design with a phase-change thermal pad.
Note that this limited-edition GPU is only available through the Bethesda Gear Store. The GPU will become available on April 29th at 10 am BST. Currently, the price of this exclusive GPU is unknown. Note that this GPU will be available internationally.
