ASUS launches its 32GB Turbo Radeon AI R9700 GPU
ASUS caters to AI developers with its 32GB Turbo Radeon AI R9700 GPU
ASUS has officially launched its new Turbo Radeon AI R9700 32GB graphics card, giving AI developers access to a HUGE VRAM pool on a graphics card that’s designed for compact workstations and multi-GPU setups.
With its dual-slot design and blower-style cooler, this graphics card is ideal for most use cases. Its large 32GB frame buffer provides it with as much VRAM as Nvidia’s RTX 5090 GPU, but at a significantly lower price.

This GPU uses a single 16-pin PCIe power cable for power and supports PCIe 5.0 connectivity. It supports four displays with one HDMI (2.1b) and three DisplayPort (2.1a) connectors. This GPU has 4096 stream processors, which is the same as AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT.
ASUS claims that the die case backplate on its Turbo GPU can reduce memory thermals by up to 16% over traditional designs. With AI being an incredibly heavy workload, this difference is a big deal for users. AI workloads place a significant strain on memory. Therefore, having cooler-running memory should help boost the longevity of these AI GPUs.
