ASUS opens pre-orders for its ROG Xbox Ally X20 and its Ultimate X20 bundle
ASUS has announced that its ROG Xbox Ally X20 is now available to pre-order. The handheld will be available on October 15th as a standalone device and as part of an ASUS Ally X20 Ultimate bundle.
The ROG Xbox Ally X20 is an upgraded version of ASUS’ ROG Xbox Ally X. While it uses the same AMD Ryzen Z2 AI Extreme chip as the ROG Xbox Ally X, the X20 includes several key upgrades. For starters, the handheld features a larger 7.4-inch “ROG Nebula HDR” OLED screen, delivering deeper blacks, improved motion clarity, and better HDR support. Additionally, the device features TMR joysticks, eliminating “stick drift” and similar issues for this handheld.
Visually, ASUS’ new X20 handheld features a translucent black exterior, giving users a glimpse of the hardware inside. This includes a look at ASUS’ revamped cooling system and ASUS’ Ryzen Z2 AI Extreme SOC.
(Note that ASUS’ ROG Bulwark Dock DG310 and ROG Raikiri II Xbox Wireless Controller are not part of ASUS’ Ultimate bundle)
ROG XBOX Ally X20 Ultimate Bundle
ASUS’ X20 handheld is available as a standalone product or as part of an Ultimate bundle. This bundle package contains ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 gaming AR glasses, a custom dbrand Killswitch case, and a custom Pelican travel case.
ASUS’ ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses can connect to the ROG Ally X20 via USB-C, giving users access to a 177-inch virtual screen. This virtual screen supports 1080p 240Hz thanks to its high-speed micro OLED panel. These glasses weigh less than 100 grams, making them easy to wear. The ROG XREAL R1 also features Bose audio to deliver a strong listening experience.
ASUS’ new ROG gaming handheld is now available to pre-order. The ROG Xbox Ally X20 will cost $1,299.99 standalone. For the ultimate bundle, which includes ROG XREAL R1 Edition 20 AR glasses, costs $2,499.99.
