ASUS reportedly preps ROG Astral RTX 5080 Dhahab Edition GPU

More Gold! ASUS has another ROG Astral Dhahab Edition GPU on the horizon

According to Videocardz, ASUS is working on an RTX 5080-based version of its ROG Astral Dhahab Edition graphics card, making its new “golden” GPU available to more customers.

ASUS’ ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition GPU is a Middle-East inspired GPU design with gold/turquoise colouring and Arabix lettering. Even this GPU’s heatsink is gold!

With this new RTX 5080 variant, ASUS’ Dhahab Edition GPU will become available at a more affordable price point. However, more affordable doesn’t necessarily mean cheap.

Since ASUS’ ROG Astral brand is currently exclusive to Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 products, we are unlikely to see more golden GPUs this generation. Don’t expect a Dhahab Edition RTX 5070 or RTX 5070 Ti in the future. Neither of those GPUs has standard ROG Astral models. That said, ASUS could make a new Dhahab Edition design using their TUF Gaming, and Strix models as a baseline.

Currently, it is unknown how much this GPU will cost or what regions it will be available in. It’s likely that this GPU is intended to be exclusive to Middle Eastern markets. Regardless, there may be demand for such a GPU elsewhere. After all, this GPU is perfect for anyone who wants an Ancient Egypt-inspired PC.
