ASUS’ RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming GPU Unboxed

ASUS’ RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming has been unboxed ahead of its official launch

AMD revealed their RDNA 4-powered Radeon RX 9070 XT at CES 2025, but since then, AMD has been practically silent about these new graphics cards. Now, a retailer called Artline has released an unboxing for ASUS’ RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming GPU. This video has since been taken offline, though Videocardz has been able to save some pictures from the unboxing.

At CES, ASUS officially revealed their RX 9070/RX9070 XT Prime and TUF Gaming GPUs. At this time, there appear to be now RDNA 4-based ROG graphics cards in the works.

Based on this early inboxing, we can confirm that Radeon RX 9070-series stock has already been shipped to retailers. This means that we can expect AMD to launch RDNA 4 in the near future. Note that AMD has not confirmed the official release date of their upcoming RDNA 4 GPUs.

In the images above and below, the Radeon RX 9070 XT TUF Gaming has a triple-fan cooling solution and three 8-pin PCIe power inputs. Together, those connectors can deliver 450 watts of power, suggesting that this GPU has a TDP of over 300 watts. Why else would this GPU use three connectors instead of two?

ASUS’ RX 9070 XT Prime has also been unboxed

Note that this has not been the first ASUS RDNA 4 GPU unboxing that has been released early. MYGEAR has also released an unboxing of an ASUS Prime-series GPU. This again confirms that retailers have stock of AMD’s next-gen Radeon GPUs.

We expect AMD to officially reveal their Radeon RDNA 4 GPU architecture and RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 GPUs within the next few weeks. This means that we can expect to hear more about the performance of these GPUs soon, and their retail pricing.
