ASUS is teasing what could be a 27-inch 4K 240Hz OLED gaming monitor

ASUS has released and swiftly deleted a teaser for their upcoming ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, confirming something that we always suspected. Yes, monitor manufacturers use cats to generate the names of their newest screens. It finally makes sense!

Jokes aside, ASUS’ ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM appears to be a screen with impressive specifications. Note that the “UCDM” section of an ASUS monitor’s name. Typically, this section means that the screen uses a 4K QD (Quantum Dot) OLED panel. Furthermore, the “27” section of the name refers to the screen’s 27-inch size.

TFT Central has confirmed that 27-inch 4K QDOLED screens will be released in 2025. Additionally, these screens will feature refresh rates of up to 240Hz and 0.03ms response times, making them ideal for gaming workloads.

When will ASUS officially reveal this new gaming monitor? We expect to see it at CES 2025. There, we expect to see new GPUs from AMD and Nvidia, and a new generation of gaming monitors. Note that DisplayPort 2.1 support is expected to become much more common in 2025, as will high refresh rate OLED screens.
