ASUS teases ROG Matrix RTX 5090 graphics card

A new flagship-level GeForce RTX 5090 is in the works – The Matrix is coming!

ASUS has released a teaser for what appears to be a new ROG Matrix graphics card design. This GPU will likely be unveiled at Gamescom 2025, arriving as a new flagship-level graphics card from the company.

Based on ASUS’ teaser images (via WCCFTECH), this GPU has a design that’s unlike other RTX 50 series GPUs. It also boasts an aesthetic that is different to other ROG Matrix series graphics cards. That said, what else could the “MA” on this GPU be signifying? While ASUS has created MARS series graphics cards in the past, that series died when the GPU industry moved away from multi-GPU technologies like Nvidia SLI and AMD Crossfire.

This new graphics card will be used to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ASUS’ first graphics cards. Based on the fact that this GPU includes a fan, it is likely that this graphics card is either air-cooled or hybrid-cooled (air/liquid-cooled). Either way, this graphics card should replace ASUS’ ROG Astral series as the company’s RTX 50 series flagship design.
