Colorful unveils new RTX 50 iGAME Ultra GPU with two M.2 SSD slots
Colorful’s newest iGAME GPU has two M.2 slots for SSD storage
ITHOME has spotted an interesting new RTX 50 series GPU at Bilibili World 2025, a Colorful iGAME Ultra series GPU with dual M.2 slots. This gives this compact graphics card space for two M.2 SSDs, giving users extra storage expansion options.
Currently, it is unknown if this new GPU is an RTX 5050, RTX 5060, or RTX 5060 Ti series graphics card. All three of these graphics cards feature a PCIe x8 connector. When used with a full-sized PCIe x16 slot, this graphics card can use the extra PCIe lanes to connect to GPU-mounted SSDs using PCIe Bifurcation.

This kind of GPU design is a clever way to use otherwise unusable system resources. Most graphics cards are plugged into a PCIe x16 slot, even if they don’t use the full PCIe x16 connection. That said, this kind of feature is only available on lower-end graphics cards with PCIe x8 connections. Higher-end GPUs use full PCIe x16 slots. Furthermore, most modern motherboards have enough M.2 connectors to cover most common use cases. How many people would benefit from having these two extra M.2 slots but not benefit from having a GPU that’s better than an RTX 5060 Ti? Is this a solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist?
While most PC builders may not need these extra M.2 slots, we are glad that crazy hardware like this exists. Hopefully, Colorful will reveal more about this RTX 50 series Ultra Dual series GPU soon.
