Fujitsu-Siemens New Laptop to be ATI powered

ATI mobility

ATI and Fujitsu-Siemens have announced that ATI’s excellent notebook graphics processor will be powering the Next Fujitsu-Siemens Notebook display.

The Notebook is designed to deliver the ultimate multimedia experience, from video streaming and picture viewing to gaming and more

Jujitsu-Siemens are obviously looking to corner a niche market with a GPU this powerful. But will ATI’s card live up to what Nvidia’s 7800GO can do?

The X1800 looks to be a great card with the specs as follows:

Mobility Radeon X1800 XT
Pixel Shader Pipelines: 16
Vertex Shaders: 8
Core Clock Speed: 550 MHz

Mobility Radeon X1800
Pixel Shader Pipelines: 12
Vertex Shaders: 8
Core Clock Speed: 450 MHz

ATI’s Managing Director Peter Edinger said this:
“ATI is proud that a market leader like Fujitsu Siemens has chosen Mobility Radeon X1800 to power its new AMILO Xi 1546 and we can safely predict that consumers are in for quite a viewing and gaming experience,”
