Galax launches an low-profile RTX 4060 for mini PCs

The ultimate GPU for HTPCs? Galax releases their first low-profile/half-height RTX 4060 graphics card

Galax has revealed a new RTX 4060 graphics card, one that features an ultra-compact design that fits within the half-height PCIe form factor. This low profile RTX 4060 GPU is designed for compact gaming systems, offering the highest performance levels possible within this niche form factor.

Galax’s new RTX 4060 graphics card is not be the first RTX 4060 to fit within this form factor. Both Gigabyte and ASUS have beaten them to the punch. That said, this GPU is the first low-profile RTX 4060 to be available in white. It even has a white PCB! With two HDMI 2.1 outputs and two DisplayPorts, this GPU can support as many screens as a full-sized RTX 4060. This GPU should also be the most powerful gaming GPU within this compact form factor.

Like Gigabyte and ASUS, Galax has opted for a triple-fan cooler design for their half-height RTX 4060. This should ensure this GPU remains cool under gaming workloads.

Like all RTX 4060 graphics cards, this new Galax model features support for DLSS 3, AV1 encoding, 8GB of VRAM, and AI acceleration. This makes this graphics card ideal for a modern HTPCs and compact workstations. As an RTX 4060 graphics card, this GPU is also a great upgrade option for mini gaming PCs.

Galax’s new low-profile RTX 4060 graphics card ships with two I/O brackets. This allows the GPU to be used in both half-height and full-height PCIe systems. Sadly, Galax has not revealed the price of this GPU yet, though we expect to see it at retailers soon.
