Galax makes GPU cleaning easy with its newest RTX 5090 D GPUs
Galax’s GeForce RTX 5090 D Boomstar LUNA and NOX GPUs will be very easy to maintain
Galax has launched two new RTX 5090 D series graphics cards for the Chinese GPU market. These two GPUs are part of the company’s new “Boomstar” series, which arrived with both LUNA (White) and NOX (Black) models and both OC and non-OC variants.
These new GPUs feature full magnetic fan/shroud assemblies. This allows users to remove the tops of their GPUs, making their fans and heatsinks easy to clean during system maintenance. Typically, these shrouds are connected to GPUs using screws, and are difficult to remove. This tool-free shroud/fan design is great for anyone who frequently needs to dust or clean their systems. While the shroud can be removed at any time, removing this shroud while your PC is turned on is not recommended. The reasons for this should be obvious.
Both of these new RTX 5090 D GPUs from Galax are rated at 575W and use 12V-2×6 GPU power connectors. The minimum recommended PSU capacity for users of these GPUs is 1000W. When paired with power-hungry CPUs, users may require higher wattage power supplies.

Neither of these new GPU designs will be available in Western markets. These GPUs will only be available as Nvidia RTX 5090 D series GPUs, which are exclusive to China and other markets where Nvidia’s RTX 5090 is unavailable.
