Intel’s ARC B580 GPU appears in shipping manifest

Intel BMG B580 GPU named in shipping manifest – Battlemage is coming!

With Intel’s Battlemage GPU reveal expected next month, it’s unsurprising that we are starting to see next-gen Intel GPUs in shipping manifests. Today, @josef972 has showcased listings that name Intel’s “BMG B580” (Battlemage ARC B580) graphics card. While the listing appears to only be for GPU packaging, the ARC B580 name appears to be the name of a real next-generation Intel GPU.

The B580 will be Intel’s replacement for the ARC A580. With this new GPU, Intel will be moving to its new Xe2 graphics architecture. That means gamers can expect improvements for many of the weak points of Intel’s prior GPU architectures. This should result in a much better product for consumers and fewer issues that Intel needs to optimise with their GPU drivers.

If Intel follows the same naming scheme as before, we may see Battlemage GPU models that include an ARC B580, ARC B750, and ARC B770. Currently, the specifications of these GPUs are unknown.

Intel is expected to focus on the lower end of the GPU market with its ARC Battlemage GPUs. Our guess is that most of its products will have price points below £500. However, we must note that this is just a hunch on our part. If Intel wants market share, it needs to release affordable GPUs. If their GPUs aren’t well-priced, they shouldn’t expect gamers to buy them over more well-established GPU brands.
