“Luxury” brand turns low-cost Nvidia GPU into $1,000 purse

Want to pay $1,000 for an Nvidia GT 730 GPU and some epoxy? You can now!

The GPU market can be crazy at times, but it’s not often that we see something that leaves us completely dumbfounded. Yes, someone has turned an Nvidia GPU into a “luxury” purse, and they are looking $1,024 for it. Why does it cost so much? Who knows… The GPU contained within this purse is a Gigabyte GT 730, an incredibly weak entry-level graphics card.

To say the least, this GPU is not worth much. Videocardz states that this GPU is worth $20. That means that you are paying $1,000 to embed it in epoxy. Why would you want to flaunt a $20 GPU as a “luxury” item? Again, who knows? This product looks like a strange gimmick at best and a complete scam at worst.

If you want something a little more “luxury,” there is also an Nvidia GPU purse model that features an H100 AI accelerator. This purse costs $65,536, which is a lot for what is certainly a broken AI processor. That said, at least it is a GPU worth showcasing. Regardless, both of these “luxury” purses are what I would class as a “more money than sense” kind of product. If you like graphics cards, there are much better collectables out there. Old MARS or ARES series GPUs for example.

These GPU purses are too odd for us to ignore. That said, they aren’t something that anyone should consider purchasing. Regardless, embedding an old GPU in epoxy as a display piece is an interesting idea. That said, I would only consider doing this with non-functional hardware.
