MAXSUN adds two M.2 SSD slots to their ARC B580 iCRAFT GPU
MAXSUN gives PC builders two extra m.2 SSD slots with their Intel ARX B580 iCRAFT
Videocardz has spotted an interesting new GPU from MAXSUN, an Intel ARC B580 model that uses its PCIe 4.0 x8 interface to add extra features. By upgrading this GPU to a full x16 PCIe connector, MAXSUN has been able to add two M.2 SSD slots to this graphics card. That allows users to add extra storage to their PCs and utilise PCIe slots that may otherwise go unused. Meet the ARC B580 iCRAFT from MAXSUN.
This isn’t the first GPU to feature an M.2 SSD slot. ASUS has an RTX 4060 Ti model with an added M.2 SSD slot. That said, MAXSUN has taken this concept to a higher level with two added M.2 slots.
Like all ARC B580 GPUs, this MAXSUN model features 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM and 20 Intel Xe2 cores. The GPU has a long 3-fan heatsink design. These fans provide airflow to this GPU’s heatsink and its installed SSDs.
Sadly, full specifications for MAXSUN’s ARC B580 iCRAFT are unavailable. We expect this GPU to use PCIe 4.0 connectivity for this GPU’s connected SSDs. This makes sense given the PCIe 4.0 nature of Intel’s ARC B580.
