MSI launches their 4K 240Hz MPG 321CURX QD-OLED gaming monitor

MSI launches the world’s first 32-inch 4K 240Hz QD-OLED monitor – Meet the MSI MPG 321CURX QD-OLED

Ahead of Gamescom 2024, MSI has revealed their new 4K 240Hz MPG 321CURX QD-OLED. MSI claims that this is the first curved 32-inch Quantum Dot OLED monitor, and it boasts some impressive specifications.

With a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms Gray-to-Gray response times, this OLED monitor is incredibly fast and responsive. Add-on its VESA Clear MR 13000 certification, and users can be sure that this screen features excellent display motion characteristics. This level of clear motion response will allow games to appear sharper in motion, which is great news for all gamers.

The MSI MPG 321CURX QD-OLED features a 3rd generation MSI QD OLED panel and boasts a 1700R screen curvature. The screen also features two HDMI 2.1 connections that support 4K 240Hz support. This monitor also features DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C inputs.

Like all modern OLED monitors, this screen is DisplayHDR True Black 400 certified. On top of this, this screen features Adaptive-Sync support, 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, and a Delta E value of less than 2. This makes this monitor great for gaming, movie viewing, and productivity work where colour accuracy is important.

With this new screen, MSI are aiming to mitigate any potential burn-in risks with their latest OLED technologies. This includes their graphene-film and custom fanless heatsink for their new monitor. This screen also makes use of the MSI’s exclusive “OLED Care 2.0″ technology. This technology enables “taskbar detection” and adjust the brightness of the boundaries between two images. These features allow MSI’s next-generation QD-OLED monitors to minimise the risk of image detection and dims your taskbar to prevent burn-in. With “Multi-Logo” detection, this screen can also dim logos and static elements that it detects to reduce burn-in risks.

These “OLED Care” features when combined with MSI’s heatsink solution all work together to prevent burn-in. This is why MSI are able to ship this monitor with a 3-year burn-in warranty.

The MSI MPG 321CURX features sharper text

One of the key features of the next-generation QD OLED panel that MSI are using is its increase text clarity. Thanks to sub-pixel arrangement improvements, text is more defined and images are sharper than before. These changes make Quantum Dot OLED screens more suitable for use in monitors. Text clarity is an incredibly important characteristic for any PC-oriented monitor. This makes MSI’s use of newer QD-OLED panels a excellent upgrade.

MSI’s new 4K 240Hz MPG 321CURG QD-OLED gaming monitor will be showcased at Gamescom 2024. The monitor will have a European MSRP of €1,399.
