Nvidia RTX 50 launch schedule leaks – RTX 5070/RTX 5060 launch times revealed?

Nvidia RTX 50 series release plans leak – RTX 5090 to RTX 5060 in Q1 2025

Nvidia’s entire RTX 50 series release schedule has leaked online, and if these leaks are accurate, gamers can expect to see a lot of Nvidia hardware in Q1 2025.

According to this leak, Nvidia plans to release GPUs ranging from their RTX 5090 to their RTX 5060 during the first three months of next year. Essentially, two GPUs will be released each month. First, we will have the RTX 5090/RTX5090D and RTX 5080. Next up, in February, there will be the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. Finally, later in Q1, Nvidia will launch their RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060.

The latest news is that the release time of the Nvidia RTX50 series is basically determined. This time, the various models of RTX50 series may be released relatively quickly, basically released monthly. It is understood that the more accurate release time points are disclosed as follows.

NV has determined the approximate release time for the RTX50 series. The RTX5090D/5080 series will be released at CES in January 2025, the RTX 5070Ti/5070 series will be released in February, and the RTX 5060 Ti/5060 in March, so all of them will be released within the first quarter of 2025. There is no product plan for SUPER series models for the time being.

Why launch the RTX 50 series this quickly?

This leak begs the question: Why would Nvidia launch its RTX 50 GPU lineup this quickly? The answer is simple: Nvidia doesn’t want to give its competitors room to manoeuvre. AMD and Intel are due to release next-generation GPUs in early 2025, and the quick release of Nvidia’s entire RTX 50 series lineup will give them little space to outmanoeuvre Nvidia. For example, if AMD or Intel releases an Nvidia RTX 5070 competitor before Nvidia releases the RTX 5070, Nvidia could lose sales to their rivals. By launching GPUs quickly, Nvidia can minimise this gap and focus its marketing efforts to prevent its rivals from gaining much market share or mindshare.

Are these RTX 50 series leaks accurate? Who knows… As always, these rumours must be taken with a large helping of salt. Regardless, a fast release schedule does make a lot of sense.
