Nvidia RTX 50 series laptop pre-order start date revealed

RTX 50 series laptop pre-orders will start on February 25th

Nvidia has announced that pre-orders for RTX 50-powered laptop systems will start on February 25th, giving mobile gamers and workers access to GeForce Blackwell graphics. These will be the first laptops to support Nvidia features like DLSS Multi Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex 2.

On PCSpecialist’s website, the company says that pre-orders for systems with “RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070Ti Laptop GPU” will start in February. For Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Laptop GPU, pre-orders will start in March.

These new Nvidia-powered laptops will also feature new CPUs from AMD and Intel. This includes Intel’s new Arrow Lake mobile processors and AMD’s Strix Point CPUs. Many of these new laptops were showcased at CES 2025.

Currently, it is unknown how Nvidia’s newest laptop GPUs will compare to their predecessors. Each RTX 50-series laptop GPU will feature more CUDA cores than its last-generation counterpart and faster GDDR7 memory. However, it remains to be seen how much additional raw performance they will deliver.

One notable upgrade to Nvidia’s mobile GPU lineup is the addition of more VRAM. Nvidia’s RTX 5090 laptop GPU has 24GB of memory, which is 8GB more than Nvidia’s RTX 4090 laptop GPU. For the RTX 5080 laptop GPU it was 4GB more memory than its predecessor, giving it 16GB of VRAM.
