Nvidia teases new RTX features by linking to GeForce G-Assist April Fools Joke
Is Nvidia working on an AI assistant for gamers?
It looks like 2017’s joke could soon become 2024’s tech. Nvidia has linked to their classic “GeForce G-Assist” April Fools joke with the tagline “the future is never far away“. This suggests that the company may be working on an AI Assistant, something that the company may showcase at their pre-Computex keynote.
While we do not expect Nvidia’s AI assistant to play games for you (Like its April Fools G-Assist counterpart), it could have other uses. Perhaps it will arrive as a gaming overlay that can play game guides or scour the internet for information for players.

Let’s be clear, we do not expect Nvidia’s original “G-Assist” joke to become real. After all, an AI that plays games for you isn’t exactly useful for most gamers. It also presents a nightmare situation for any game that has anti-cheat technologies. It would be insanity for Nvidia to release a technology that is guaranteed to get gamers banned through their favourite game’s anti-cheating mechanisms.
Gamers can expect to find out what Nvidia’s new Assistant tool is very soon. After all, their upcoming AI keynote will be on June 2nd.
