Nvidia warranty claims value rose over 1,000% in 2025, setting an all-time-high for the company
Nvidia Warranty claims rose 1000% in 2025 – an 11x increase!
Warranty Week has released data on warranty claim rates for AMD and Nvidia graphics cards, revealing an explosion in Nvidia claims. The publication claims that Nvidia’s warranty claims value has risen from $81 million in 2024 to $894 million in 2025, an 11x increase.
2025 was the year that Nvidia released its RTX 50 series of graphics cards. For high-end RTX 50 series models, it is not uncommon to see news of GPU power connectors melting and other issues semi-frequently. Regardless, it is shocking to hear that Nvidia’s warranty claims value rose by 1000% in 2025. Clearly, Nvidia’s newest graphics cards are less reliable than their predecessors.
Nvidia paid $81 million in warranty claims in 2024, and $894 million in 2025. That’s a 1000% increase. Yes, Nvidia paid eleven times more in warranty claims in 2025, compared to 2024.

Warranty values have exploded, but claims rates remain below 1%
Between Q4 2024 and Q4 2025, Nvidia’s warranty claims rate has increased by 9x. Even with this increase, Nvidia’s overall warranty claims rate remains below 1%. This is lower than Nvidia’s warranty rate in Q4 2022, which was 1.1%. Note that this increase in the warranty rate followed Nvidia’s launch of the RTX 40 series.
While Nvidia’s warranty rate has significantly increased, it remains low. Even so, it is concerning that Nvidia’s warranty claims rate can increase by 9x over the space of a year.

Warranty Week claims that it compiled its data from Nvidia’s annual reports and quarterly financial statements. This means that this data is from Nvidia. Will Nvidia’s warranty rate decrease in 2026? I guess we will have to wait and see.
