OCUK’s Gibbo Claims that the UK has been allocated “less than 100” Radeon VII GPUs

On the Overclockers UK’s forums, Andrew “Gibbo” Gibson, a member of the company’s staff, has stated that the UK will have “less than 100” Radeon VII graphics cards at launch.

Gibbo has also claimed that Overclockers UK has 44 samples so far and has more arriving in their warehouse soon, giving them “over half” of the UK’s product allocation. The graphics card will become available to purchase at 2 pm on Thursday.

At this time it is unknown when the UK will get allotted more Radeon VII graphics cards to sell, though it looks like the UK’s current stocking of graphics cards will be quickly exhausted on launch day. AMD plans to sell their Radeon VII graphics card on their official website, though at this time it is unknown whether or not the company plans to sell Radeon VII graphics cards in the UK/Europe directly. More Radeon VII graphics cards will be shipped to the UK, but at this time it is unknown when they will arrive.

AMD’s Radeon VII graphics card is the world’s first 7nm gaming GPU, offering users a staggering 16GB of HBM2 memory and clock speeds that are significantly higher than what the company’s 14nm RX Vega 64 graphics cards can offer, showcasing the impressive performance capabilities of TSMC’s 7nm technology.
